[size=large]... and you'll never guess in a million years what he found. I've dubbed this field "THE PROMISED LAND". Yes, Greg dug a matching Confederate drop wing eagle button, with a Manchester mark pictured below. Probably off the same coat that mine came from. Greg has a suspicion that the man that lived at this old house site was the officer in the Confederate army, and he's hoping to find the other 20 or so buttons that was on the coat. I told Greg when he found it that I sure was glad he found it and not me, 'cause he might have run me off the field with a stick had I found both of them. I was praying Greg would find something good and wa s sure thankful he found one too. Now that the score is evened up, I'm looking for the CSA belt plate next.
