This place is run by a family friend and is located only 8 miles from Francitas where I spent my teenage years.

The Pearce they mention is the Texas land baron Shanghai Pearce I think.

He was big stuff in the area and one of its richest.

PS Yeah I've eaten there and the food is great!!

PPS I just googled Mr Pearce and Shanghai was Abel Pearce. Maybe this is a relative?
Lots of tales about Abel pop up when you Google the name.
