:usaflag: Beautiful Day For Water Hunting !!:detecting:

The tide, weather and wind were "Right" at about 10 AM and I managed to get out there with "Mr. Dual Field" at 11:30 AM or so for 2 and a half hours. About a half hour after I started wading the North Wind decided that it was tired of blowing, as it had for several days and it switched around to the West/South/West and the swells started running Eastward down the Sound to where I was having a nice hunt.

It didn't take but an hour for me to get tired of it and I stuck around for another just to make sure I had all I could stand and then I called it quits and hauled my tired, cold self home where I could change into some dry things.

44-targets recovered, 6-lead fishing sinkers. 5-clad quarters, 2-clad dimes, 2-nickles (1-Buffalo 1937), 6- pennies (1-zinc), three snap tops, a junk bracelet, and misc can slaw and scrap metal.

(Electronic Macro works well enough for a cheap (as cameras go) fixed lense camera.)

Just the way it looked when I rinsed it off.

Thanks for looking,

CJ

But... I did get out two days ago when I had to go over for another test.... Found about $4.00 plus one silver quarter.

Have a chance to try tomorrow as well. I will hit another lake and give it a try.

Keep swinging Cupa... and good luck

and it is taking all my time right now. It is raining today and I am thinking about hunting for some Morels

My work cost is kinda high when I travel out of town about, 3 to 4 Crown Royal and Seven Up's in the evenings, and hearing some good stories, plus laughter. Now I am waiting for that phone call to get to San Antonio, and see my new grandson. Her due date is on May 6, I don't think she will make it. Here is a pic of the whole gang, she is in the white, this was a over a month ago, her belly was already way out there. When I talk to her last night she could hardly walk even. I hope the doctors have better sense than make her go past her due date. That's SA in the back ground, my little Super Hero.

Pretty early for that right now. I though baout going out myself as I was down in Waterford by Eugne O'Neild theater. Part of my old stomping grounds. Just ran out of daylight... Hopefully this week towards weeks end they are calling for decent weather again.
Finds or no finds, its still and enjoyable day wandering the shoreline....... I miss the sounds of the seagulls up this way...

I'd invest in a water machine. Not so much for the goodies but for the tranquility and the beach sounds. Just a great way to pass the time.

After paying our dues for one of the craziest winter and spring seasons so far I'm ready to "get out there" every chance I get!! When I can't get in the water I want to hunt the area that was severely washed away by the heavy rain storm recently as I know the bull-dozer that put the beach back in shape must have uncovered something worth digging up!!

The flooding eroded a 5-6' deep gully about a hundred yards or so clear to the water line! In years past I found silver dimes in that area and wouldn't be surprised to find most anything there now.

Thanks for all the replies Friends,

CJ

On the far right is my youngest, Meredith, then Meghan my middle girl, the pregant one, then Thayna my oldest. It seems like last week when they where all babies.
