:usaflag: Beats a jab in the eye...

[size=large]I was driving home from Farmville today, listening to Brother Wendell on the High Noon Hoe-Down, Bluegrass Gospel Hour on the radio, while dodging roadkill possum and skunk on the road. During this time, I was contemplating the many interesting events happening in my life over recent years, but most of all, I was wanting to get home to see how much money my Gerber knife was going for on Ebay.

In 1982, I bought this Gerber Mark II survival/fighting knife for around $40 at a sporting goods store in Juneau, Alaska. It was one of those things I buy "just in case"... you know, like if the world as we know it comes to an end, or a martian invasion were to land on earth, something like that knife may come in handy in spilling green blood. At the time I was single, had no one to worry about but myself. I could go anywhere and live off the land with a backpack and a good knife. Anyway, the world never ended and the martians never landed. So there sat my Gerber Mark II, in my knife case, in pristine condition for the last 25 years. The knife hasn't been pulled out and slid back in its sheath a dozen times.

Getting too old to get in hand to hand combat with a martian alien, I decided to sell the knife on Ebay. Little did I know that they quit making this knife about six years ago. It has always been a quality knife, highly sought among the military, SWAT, collectors etc.

Well, when I got home, I found out my $40 investment just sold on Ebay for $315.01, with 24 bids. That's about $200 more than I thought I would get for it

Just thought I'd pass my good news on to you fellers.
