47 targets recovered from some of the toughest bottom there is anywhere by Dual Field, Diablo and Yours Truly!!

15 bottle caps drifted in from the boat moorings a hundred yards or so out there and I dug at low tide in knee deep water until I thought I couldn't dig another scoop to get them outa there.

Naturally I somehow found the strength to dig the next target and the next Etc.!!

4 hours resulted in some clad, 1-Buffalo nickel and 2-Mercs and one tired Old Hunter!!

I dragged my ancient carcass the 150 yards or so to my van as the sun was dissapearing into the western end of Long Island Sound dropping the temps and telling me to go home.

Thanks for your replys Friends!!

I find it interesting that the Mercs while perhaps 50' appart were in so different a condition.

The dark one has lost perhaps 1/3 of its silver from the effects of salt water.

I lost a few solid sounding targets down among the small boulders (Small as in only 30-60Lbs.!!) and wasn't too happy about that!

This scoop in its latest SS version is holding up remarkably with 638 targets recovered and only minor scuffing to show for it!!

GL&HH FRiends,

CJ
