:usaflag: An Amazing Hunt----More Gold!! :detecting:

Sometimes following a hunch and moving a few yards in another direction can change the results of a day's hunt.

Today I recovered 82 targets, more than I have in a long time and mostly keepers! (I didn;t even mind the 8 Zincolns!!)

Two gold rings, both small and old gold (with one 10K and one 14K), a Merc and a Walking Liberty Half, in good shape for a saltwater find, with 1943 clearly visible.

It was sunny and warm and at the 21/2 hour mark I was feeling dehydrated, but managed 31/2 before common sense told me to take Mr. Dual Field and Diablo and call it a day!!

GL&HH Friends,

CJ

Lots of digs congrats on the silver and gold.

Great hunt. Looks like you did a lot of digging. You're right, that Walking Liberty Half is in great shape for a beach/water find. Did you just hit a hot spot or are the sand conditions getting better?

Its always amazing what you find. I bet your beat up when your done. Always good to see your scores

Today was unusual in that it was sunny and warm and I ended up suffering from hyperthermia! (Rare in March in Connecticut!!)

Perspiring for 31/2 hours and working as hard as I was led me to near exhaustion!

Conditions were such that I could have hunted for an hour or more longer, but was exhausted and had to quit for the day!!

The water was spectacular for this time of year at 45 F, clear and calm as could be.

Air temps in the low 70s!

Oh well, tomorrow's another day!!

The spot I hunted has been on my list for a long time and close to my usual hunting grounds.

I finally decided it was time to see what might be found there and was pleasantly surprised to discover virgin territory! (A rare thing these days!!)

It's a small area with almost no sand and won't take long to work out.

I'm still hoping to find a whopping big 18K ring to brag about!!

GL&HH E,

Great hunt, and great finds....but, dont knock yourself around too much....tomorrow will be there, you need to be there to meet it. Congratulations on the gold and beaut coins. HH

The small gold ring with the oblong stone in it. I found an exact match with the date of march 14, 1922 inside. Mine had a bloodstone in it and was 14K. Will have to bring up a picture and show you. Nice old ring. Great finds again!
