:usaflag: An Amazing Gold And Silver Days Hunt!! :detecting:

My hunting partner Frank and I met at a local beach where the sand had shifted enough to allow decent target locating and recovery.

The water was calm and the day warm with the sun flitting in an out of the scattered clouds.

Armed with Dual Field and Diablo I started finding targets among the stony sub-strate almost from my first step into the water.

Frank and I have both hunted this spot until we were expecting to never see another decent find recovered there and yet-------------

5 1/4 hours later with 46 targets recovered I waded ashore and headed home to assess what I had found.

The days take included 3 rings (if the brass junker counts) 1-10K W/Aquamarine, 1- 14K W/Diamonds, 1- Barber Dime (my first) in sad condition as were the 1- Merc. and the 2- Rosies.

It was a good day for you. Congrats on the nice finds .

You sure know how to step right back into it after not posting for a few days!....way to go!...

Talk about one thin dime! Beautiful rings, CJ! :clapping: That one could be worth some money!

Most of us have seen silver coins in even worse shape than this.

The shine on both sides is a rare thing though as these coins are usually badly discolored.

It must be pure silver or some alloy different from the norm.

This was my first Barber Dime!

The engagement ring looks to be of a style popular in the 1940s/1950s.

The two Rosies came out of the same hole!

Cupajo if that is your first ever barber dime you found, I can say that there are not to many barber dimes in the ocean..lol nice finds cant go wrong with gold and diamonds

That's a nice cut you got there! Sweet finds and keep em coming!

Ron we rarely get "cuts" such as are common in other beaches.

We do however have sand that moves in and out exposing small areas for improved chances at finding a target.

The beach near my home and my primary hunting turf has a long sand bar, about 20' to 50' away from the low tide line, that comes and goes with weather changes, moon tides and storms.

The only times I have witnessed cuts as such were after hurricanes of substantial strength passed through here.

We have this huge breakwater to our south known as "LONG ISLAND", New York!!!!

Most of the weather that our beaches react to comes from that direction and we are protected from significant change unless it is a major storm!

I lucked into a spot where the sand has shifted today and found the 18K.

I'm looking forward to the next major shift that will uncover football field sized areas to hunt!!

Thanks for your reply Friend,

CJ
