:usaflag:I went over to my buddy's place a couple blocks down. His house was built in the 30's. First hit under the clothesline and this coin came up out of the dirt. I saw the stars on it right away and started into a chicken dance. Ran in the kitchen to wash it off and saw the other side...kinda chuckled at the letdown, but it's still fun to find stuff. Found the pocketknife moments later..my 3rd. Found some clad. Now I'm home for lunch. Good times.

Sometimes you are the windshield, sometimes you are the bug. Have a good weekend.

Well #$@%! I would've done the dance too bud:blink:

You find all the stuff that isn't much value and then it will be easier to find the good stuff. Hang in there and stay excited about what you find. You never know when you will find that once in a lifetime coin or relic. I would rather be excited than bored.

Compare it to the tokens used at your local car wash. You may have a $5.00 find.

Hahahahaha. I found one of those "No Cash Value" coins too, on my last night hunt.
And Yes, my heart jumped into my mouth too when I dug it out of the hole.
It was night and I could feel the sucker and I could feel it was bigger that a quarter but
just didn't feel like a half dollar. I shined the light from my propointer on it and saw the eagle
on the back and said "HOLY CRAP" I almost started to do
that Michale Jackson Dance, THRILLER, but then I realized it was just a token. What a let down.

I got excited the first time I found one too. I don't know what they're used for but I've found about 50 of them since. All different sizes too.

:usaflag:I found out later that there was an arcade just half a block over back in the mid 70's to mid 80's. And I did find the same token on E Bay selling for a buck..except that mine is lacking the manufacturing company stamp. Maybe it's worth $1.25...lol. Good day anyways.

i have found those nice bronze thou , keep at it the next may be gold
