:usaflag: A walk in the Park

Bill in Texas

:detecting: Well I can't past up detecting even when I don't have much time. I was passing a little park that I have hunted many times on the way home and my pickup just pulled right over to the curb and died. Will what was a fellow to do, so I got out old Vaquero and detected a bit. This 30-30 had been fired for a change. I also found a small pewter cross, a quarter, 2 pennies, and a token. The token has Fun Games on one side and NO CASH VALUE on the other. It also has in small letters RWM on both sides . Bill In Texas :tesoro:

You know there is one thing I can't figure out about this little park. I know that it has been hunted a bunch. It don't have a lot of trash left in it and I seldom find a piece of jewelry there. How ever I still find quarters, tokens and shell casings there near the surface (they blow my ears off). I don't dig deep there as the ground is so hard and I have bad hips. How then are the other guys missing those large coins near the surface like that. I also know that there are some good machines hunting in this park. It is only about 300 x 300 feet. Could it be that they have there discriminator set so it only reads coins and nearby trash is blanking out these coins? The little park is not very productive, but I always find a little there.
