When I passed the old Congregational Church on Lyme Street today I spotted these two young steeple jacks hard at work getting the last coat of paint on before the forcasted T-storms later.

This is a rare enough sight that I thought you all might find the pics interesting.

The church was origionally built by ships carpenters and many years later it burned down.

The Old Lyme community re-built the church as it stands today and it is still a very special social/religious entity here with many activities including a food pantry and blood drives and for two days, beginning Friday the 9th, the yearly "White Elephant" sale where amazing things are up for grabs at bargain prices!!

Come on down and enjoy the fun!!!
