Dual Field, "Poor Man's Backhoe", "super Sifter", two hours of catching the tide right, the goodies uncovered by the receding sand and working my tail off resulted in these recovered keepers.

A half dozen or so quarters, four or five dimes, three or four nickles three wheat pennies, a mercury dime and a 1941 quarter (My Birth Year!!)

A few pieces of trash metal, some fishing tackle and two 10K rings!!

The little seahorse was one of the earlier recoveries. (It seems to be copper.)

The digging is large stones and a real workout for these old bones, but when I bring home the gold, even 10K, I'm satisfied with the hunt!

The rings were a few yards apart and were recovered one after the other.

It has happened like that a few times over the years, but not often.

Respectfully submitted,

CJ

I just discovered this gargoyle on one of the rings!

Anyone know anything about this?

It amazes me how much you are finding in the water and on those beaches. Hope you continue finding lots of gold rings! Kelley (Texas) :)

Thanks guys for your kind replys.

I haven't hunted much this year as the stoney bottom was badly sanded in until now.

A small spot has finally been washed free of sand down to rocky bottom.

It's hard digging, but at least there are now signals to dig.

That gargoyle ring has me puzzled.

The lettering looks like it may be Greek and there is a tiny stone that looks like a diamond chip.

Both rings are old and worn, but not from being in the water.

GL&HH Friends,

CJ
