As I was leaving the beach this afternoon a pretty lady stopped me and asked if I might have found a silver bracelet like the one her husband, sitting on a bench nearby, was wearing.
She told me how they were custom made by a lady silver-smith for them when they married 35 years ago and then each of her two children got one when they became teenagers.
The lost one was her daughter Frankie's and had been lost 5 years ago.
I assured her I would search through my silver pile and if I found it I would return it.
It was bent and tarnished, but never the less, joyfully received when my wife and I returned it to Frankie a 1/2 hour ago.

The family has a seasonal cottage on a street only 5 streets away from where I live year round.
They had heard of me, but until today we had never met.
The bracelet will be returned to "the smith" for cleaning and repair and what is part of a family's treasure is now back where it belongs.
