When my hunting buddy Frank and I waded out this AM for our 31/2 hour hunt, I expected the sand to be less deep as a result of recent weather and was surprised to discover 8-10" of sand covering the spot I chose to hunt.

The majority of these targets were deep and most required serious digging efforts of Diablo and me.

The second silver ring is the mate of the silver bracelet I found on another of my recent hunts and along with the other silver ring, a mood ring (Junk, but looks like gold in the pic!!) and a silver necklass with medallions rounds out the highlights of the hunt.

A couple of more objects of interest are brass suspender clips found several yards appart.

A good hunt in my book!!

GL&HH Friends,

CJ,
Nice lighter.
Just looked up the Zippo page and they still say they repair them for free; but they don't say they replace damaged ones.
It's been a while since I found a lighter other than a cheap throw-away.
Cheers,
tvr

IF it is a Zippo, you can also find out the date of manufaturer on most of them by the markings on the bottom. Nice silver finds!!

Yes TVR it is a Zippo and the "innards" are shot.

I found a new one last year in dry sand and have no use for one thanks to becomming a non-smoker many years ago when I was in my early twenties.

This one is going in with the junk metal for recycling.

Thanks for the info SD my Friend.

GL&HH to you both and as always, thanks for your replies,

CJ

PS I have a couple of dozen butane lighters from dry sand hunting and they are all still usable.
