:usaflag: A Beautiful Day For Water Hunting!! :detecting:

The tide, weather and wind were "Right" at about 10 AM and I managed to get out there with "Mr. Dual Field" at 11:30 AM or so for 2 and a half hours. About a half hour after I started wading the North Wind decided that it was tired of blowing, as it had for several days and it switched around to the West/South/West and the swells started running Eastward down the Sound to where I was having a nice hunt.

It didn't take but an hour for me to get tired of it and I stuck around for another just to make sure I had all I could stand and then I called it quits and hauled my tired, cold self home where I could change into some dry things.

44-targets recovered, 6-lead fishing sinkers. 5-clad quarters, 2-clad dimes, 2-nickles (1-Buffalo 1937), 6- pennies (1-zinc), three snap tops, a junk bracelet, and misc can slaw and scrap metal.

(Electronic Macro works well enough for a cheap (as cameras go) fixed lense camera.)

Just the way it looked when I rinsed it off.

Thanks for looking,

CJ

Nice Buffalo! Been a while since I've gotten one and even longer since I got one with a readable date.
Congrats.

Thanks for your replies Fellow Hunters!!

The way the water condition changes makes me wonder if the weatherman has it in for me. The last several times I went water hunting the wind started making conditions worse only a short while after I started to hunt. Perhaps it's only this time of year with weather patterns constantly changing.

Still, even a hunt under lousy conditions is better that no hunt at all!!

The beach washed away during the last storm only yards away from where I found the buffalo and the area is full of junk now. I started there and found junk targets everywhere! Things got back to "normal" when I moved out deeper away from the deep sand from the beach.

The sand washed out there from an area high on the beach where I found silver dimes in the past!

I'll start there in the future to remove the junk a little at a time and who knows there may be some "oldies, but goodies" in there too!

GL&HH Friends,

CJ

Beautiful nickle CJ, Amazing that it came up so clean! I found a couple of newer Jefferson nickles today that were totally encrusted in a jet black coat and even under that coating (which I had to break away) were badly worn. HH!

Nice job, Nickel looks good.

Very nice day. We have rough weather blowing hard and water was pretty rough on you today. The Buffalo made trip worth while. I am finding value has little to do with the reaped rewards of just being able to enjoy the surroundings while swinging. Thanks for sharing

The nickle has slight surface erosion, but all in all is in great shape for its age! It's rare to find one with a readable date and almost never one in this shape!

Thanks for you replies Friends,
