:usaflag: A Beautiful Day For Water Hunting!! :detecting:

The tide, weather and wind were "Right" at about 10 AM and I managed to get out there with "Mr. Dual Field" at 11:30 AM or so for 2 and a half hours. About a half hour after I started wading the North Wind decided that it was tired of blowing, as it had for several days and it switched around to the West/South/West and the swells started running Eastward down the Sound to where I was having a nice hunt.

It didn't take but an hour for me to get tired of it and I stuck around for another just to make sure I had all I could stand and then I called it quits and hauled my tired, cold self home where I could change into some dry things.

44-targets recovered, 6-lead fishing sinkers. 5-clad quarters, 2-clad dimes, 2-nickles (1-Buffalo 1937), 6- pennies (1-zinc), three snap tops, a junk bracelet, and misc can slaw and scrap metal.

(Electronic Macro works well enough for a cheap (as cameras go) fixed lense camera.)

Just the way it looked when I rinsed it off.

Thanks for looking,

CJ

A nice looking buffalo that you found on that hunt.
Congrats !

It was my last find of the hunt and gives me hope that there are other deep old targets yet to be found!! Only yards away there is an area that is heavily sanded from the entire beach at the end of an access road washing out to a depth of 5-6' into the Sound, Most of the junk I found in the water came out of that area. A bull-dozer worked several days moving around the sand to even out the two large "wash-outs" with the rest of the beach and I want to get out there and see if any thing on the beach may have been exposed. I found silver dimes at the end of that road in the past.

Thanks for your reply Joel,

CJ
