Sometimes the let down can be down-right laughable!!

As an Old Hunter I know the odds of finding gold are deminished with every ring I remove from an old, inactive beach, but as always I live in hope of finding more jewels!

Two days ago after 4 hours of hunting I had recovered 57 common targets and the small toe ring in the pics below.

Yesterday was primarilly a "scouting" expedition to determine how sand has moved within my hunting grounds and the report is sad. (Not much improvement over-all.)

4.5 hours of wandering resulted in 63 of the usual targets recovered including a mangled gold plated silver ear ring and a very tiny silver dolphin on a broken silver necklass.

It was a great day to be hunting with lots of eye candy and human comedy to keep the old guy's mind occupied.

GL&HH Friends,

CJ

CJ, sorry that dolphin is too small to keep. They have a minimum size limit you know. Catch and release only!!

Your doing GREAT!!!! Loved your rings. How come I bring home more boat anchors than you do?

It's certainly the smallest I have ever seen!! (I can keep it as where I hunt Conneccticut rules apply.):biggrin:

Boat anchors? Maybe you are hunting in water too deep??

I dig stumble over a 100Lb. mooring and chain (like new) a couple of weeks ago and gave it to a neighbor.
