One of the first targets was this small ear ring that I thought might be gold, but wasn't sure until I acid tested it at 14K as there was no hallmark!!

The clincher was the 20 small diamonds I tested as real!!

I spent lotsa hours water hunting since my last gold and am pleased to finally get some gold in my sifter, even this tiny offering!!

Several small targets, lotsa junk adding up to 62 targets recovered including a silver ear ring and a silver religious medallion and a little over a dollar in change rounded out the total for the hunt.

I also dragged out a 1"x 4' long steel pipe that somehow ended up a few yards out a from the water line at low tide!!

Last time out I dragged a 5 gallon pail of concrete with a 4x4 used as a sign post outa the drink for the third time to keep someone from getting hurt!! (Heavy sucker and this time I took it home where it will never end up in the drink again!!)

I left it on the beach twice and somehow it ended back in the water!

After the morning hunt I worked at two plumbing jobs and at this hour am a tired old guy ready for bed!!

Night all!!

Never having to bother with the junk again and removing hazards are part of the game for me!

Thanks for your reply Joel!

I just did a quick scan of my Diablo Diary and have 22 3/4 hours of water hunting since my last gold find!

This is one of the smallest bits of gold I've recovered, but exciting never the less,

Nice one CJ.....Hope your days continue to improve for more hunts.

Many thanks Bob for your good wishes!

Sadly as the weather improves so does my workload as a plumbing repairman which reduces my water hunting time!

As conditions are these days I am happy to have the work!

Talk about mixed emotions!!!

I look forward to the day that I can refer to 20 diamonds set in gold as a "tiny offering" !!!
