As hunts often do this afternoons hunt started off with a gentle breeze and hardly any wave action.
It's my favorite kind of hunting conditions and I was really enjoying myself listening to Dual Field telling me where the targets were..
A couple of hours into the hunt I had the silver toe ring and the larger silver ring from Mexico along with a few clad and lots of junk metal and the wind and waves started increasing, but not enough to make me quit.

At three hours I dumped Diablo into my sifter and found this senior ring, my first gold in a month or so of hunting every chance I could when weather and work load permitted.
It was a hard, deep recovery that required prying a basket-ball sized stone from the hole to allow me to get at the target.
The 10K ring is in remarkable condition for a ring from 1986!

Four hours into the hunt the waves were being a pain along with the wind and rising tide, so I called it a day.
This Old Hunter was glad to see the gold (I was wondering if they had stopped making it!! :angry
