2- Gold
1- Silver (If you count them!!)
This is the first chance I had to scout this private beach to see what Sandy left behind for hunting conditions.
Parking was a problem, because the lady who lets me park at her cottage hasn't got the sand plowed out of her driveway yet.
I managed to find a spot a hundred yards or so farther away than I usually park.
The beach was piled high with the sand scraped off the street and what Sandy left behind gave me hope that I would find a thinned out base of sand under the water and lots o exposed goodies!!
No such luck as the sand is much as I remember it, bottom-less!!
The wire silver ring boosted my spirits and Mr. Dual field, Diablo and I spent the next two hours recovering over $3.00 in change including a very thin Merc.
At the bottom of the second hour a very faint, deep signal became a 14K in my sifter after I removed a foot or so of sand from the excavation I made with Diablo to get at it.

At the 31/4 hour mark another faint, deep signal resulted in the 10K ring w/ Onyx.
Some junk and a few more coins totaled 52 Targets Recovered by the finish of the 4.0 Hour hunt.
Only a few of the targets were shallow with strong signals and the rest were barely audible deep targets. (I chased several dimes and a couple of nickels down into what ended up excavations 2+ feet deep before I finally recovered them!!)
At times in my aimless hunting pattern I was shoulder deep about a hundred yards out from the water's edge where I found mostly junk, but an occasional coin. (This place is shallow at low tide!)
My two piece 7Mil wet suit was comfortable in the balmy 58 degree water. (The 60 degree air temp and sunny sky helped.)
The 14K was 40 yards or so out and the 10K maybe 25 yards.
It'll be a while before I return there as I would like to wait for some winter storm/sand removal to occur before I hunt there again.
Thanks for reading and HH Friends,
CJ
