A little before noon with the water just low enough for me to hunt without flooding my waders, Mr. Dual Field, Diablo and I waded out into Long Island Sound for another hunt!!

Sand had moved away from this spot giving me a shot at some old targets and the 4th one, only 10' or so from the water's edge, was this 1943 Walking Liberty Half Dollar!

Before the rising wind out of the south east got the waves too high for comfortable hunting I recovered a total of 36 targets including 3-spark-plugs, the Liberty Half, and an interesting variety of sinkers including one I have never seen before. (The large one with a triangular base.)

Also there is a small lead thing that I find interesting in that I have found several in recent years all of which look the same and until today I had no clue what they were or what purpose they served.

I'm pretty sure they are lead keels for small sail-boats! (Seen just below the long screw's point.)

Lots of interesting finds out there friends,

CJ
