:usaflag: 3.5 Hours Water Hunting This AM!! :detecting:

When I waded out with my Dual Field at low tide this AM the water was dead calm, but after a couple of hours of hunting a fairly brisk breeze started out of the east/s.east. The air temp was in the mid-40s F.

The 42Degree F. (surface temp) water kicked up enough wave action to make hunting a bit of a struggle with the sifter bouncing around creating a moving target for my heavy scoop load of sand and stone.

After 3.5 hours, so as to avoid burn-out, I called it a day. I had found 57 targets and recovered 55 including 22-coins (none silver or old), 1-brass arcade token, 1-.22 Cal. bullet, 4- fishing sinkers and the rest was misc. junk.

No gold or silver, but it was great getting out in the water again and next time out I won't have to dig these targets!

GL&HH friends,

CJ.

PS 22 hours on the Dual Field batteries so far and the signal is still strong!

it was cloudy and a bit of rain, but was fun...nice to get out detecting again, my friend at club, Willy knows him, Dave won the gold coin and the coin club, this is one lucky dude..... oj

I've always wondered if this hobby would be as much fun if we scored the big one every time out. Hit and miss makes us appreciate the good finds.....and enjoy the simple fun of the hunt

Every target recovered has value even if it is cleaning up garbage!!

Today I also removed from the water an intact drink bottle, some pieces of glass, several pieces of sharp, rusty metal and a rubber exam glove from this swimming area!

It is with pride that I perform this community service which has the occasional side benefit of placing an odd bit of nice jewelry in my possession!

GL&HH To You Fellow Hunters,

CJ

Hi Mike, yes Digger is one of the best hunters I know and a bit of a character, it's Jericho, a few years ago found the silver volunteer war medal there, I can't return because no ID anywhere on it, may double check.. oj enjoy the new vehicle :)

Thank you one and all for your kind replies!!

Today is about the same temperature, but it's drizzling a bit with more to come along with colder temperatures later I'm told.

If I could break away from the work schedule I would still go hunting, but the bills keep coming and cash flow is, as always, a problem!

Gotta catch those hunting opportunities when we can!
