:usaflag: 2nd Trip to the bad tot-lot

Bill in Texas

:detecting: My wife and I went to the tot lot that had made my Vaquero act up the other day this morning. No interference at all this morning, the V ran real smooth so go figure. We both have Arthritis pretty bad so we don

Nice hunt! When the kids come I leave. I love kids but when they dig my targets and want my zincs - well I'm out of there!

Just keep your pouch full of trash. WHen they gather wave a fistful of junk, dripping pulltabs and fopil wads.
"See!" you answer when they ask what youre finding. Pretty soon they leave - or the adults come and hustle them away from the crazy guy.

Last Sunday me and my brother were hunting volleyball courts. When there were kids close we simply made an X in the sand over our targets. Then went back and scooped once the coast was clear. We hit 5 courts and not one piece of jewelry! I scooped plenty of foil, square and round tabs so I know there wasn't and bling to be had.

Hay Bill,

I have had that happen before with the interference. Don't know what the deal is??

Glad you're gettin along with your V.

Yes the Compadre is a great machine. It is a tot lot hot rod. But they all have their

limitations and applications. That's why I finally ended up with 5 different ones.

The V is more versatile than the Compadre. But the Compadre does things the V

doesn't do quite as well.

Again, that's why I ended up with 5 MD's, and I like each one.

Happy Huntin,

Tabdog

Karl Von Mueller always believed that the variations in the atmosphere, such as humidity, etc, had an affect on detectors. It's kinda like my FM radio station I listen to-somedays the broadcast is picked up 50 miles into the next town away from the station, and somedays I have it fade when only 20 miles away in my hometown. At another school, my Silver chatters at different times of the day in one spot by the cafeteria, then disappears at other parts of the day.
