That ground cancels. He tells me it would be easy to have separate discrete tones for various targets also, like iron, a nickel, tab, zinc, cu penny, dime & so forth. This is one step removed from meter i.d. of targets. He filed a patent application for a "sampling detector" with a phase angle in 1967, 10 years before George Payne did so in June of 1977. And I wonder what Eric Foster's new project will be.
Interesting times indeed.
