I don't know what it is.It's made of brass and a little over 3 inches long.Can someone help ID it and the age.Thanks David Bonson
 
It's a Mills buckle used by soldiers during the indian war
 
the buckle was used from 1887 - 1894 .. Saw extensive use in the Spanish American War
