US gold coin TID's

Just curious if anyone out there can help put together a US gold coin TID list for the CTX. Got a US gold coin? Got a CTX? Lets hear from you:)

Should I use my little brothers Gold $5 Indian Head coin and do a garden test to get some numbers? LOL

If you haven't checked it out you might try the chart on the CTX Resources Forum. (Just click on the CTX Resource Center box) There are a few gold coin numbers on the chart that Digger posted. (The gold coin numbers will probably be very close to those on the charts made for the E-Trac)

Thanks C&R. I'm familiar with the resources page. Just was wanting more. I'll check the etrac page

Here is what I found...

$2.50 quarter eagles at 12.21, $5.00 half eagles landed at 12.30, the $10.00 eagles hit at 12.37-38 and finally the $20.00 double eagles came in at 12.40-41! The testing was performed with at least 2 coins of each denomination for each of the last two series of coins.

Whoa! I want your gold coins!

Since I don't have any gold coins, I went to the E-Trac Emulator. The US coin target file I have has $1-$20 gold coins in it. The numbers from the emulator have matched very well with in ground coins for me here in Missouri. These numbers proved to be very close to Porschephile's scan results. With the CTX, when scanning coins to "see" what numbers targets come in at, always scan the item with each target separation mode. Very early, we found that the large silver coin numbers are different between some separation modes, as shown on the TID chart in the Resource forum. So, it may be worth checking the gold coins to find if there are any differences in the TID numbers, especially the $10-20.

Depending on the site I'm at, These numbers are all in my "dig" range. At a high aluminum trash area, The 2-1/2 and the 5 would be the "maybe dig, maybe not" range. However, if I'm feeling lucky, I would dig targets with these numbers.

E-Trac Emulator Numbers:
FE/CO
$1...........12-13/10-11
$2-1/2.....12-13/22-23
$5 12-13/30-31
$10.........12-13/38-39
$20.........13-14/43-44
