UPS just dropped off my new 250

UPS just dropped off my new 250. Will now read my owner's manual and watch the DVD that came with. Will post pics as soon as I get a chance to go out to my grandmothers home stead. My 3rd great grandfather built the house so I hope I can find something.

The DVD will tell you to start out hunting in the all metal mode. Start out in the coin mode and dig repeatable beeps. For me that is 3 beeps in a row. Set your sensitivity at 5 bars. Swing low and level. Overlap your sweeps by 50%

Once you've mastered the ACE 250 invest in a snipper coil.

Yeah definetly do not start out in all metal. That would be the quickest route to absolute frustration that I know of.

If you get a lot of falsing, try 4 bars. That is about how high I can go here.

Yeah that's what I run at most of the time unless i'm looking for deeper coins then I'll suffer all the falseing and chatter for a spell. But the trouble with that is the falseing and chatter masks targets.
