Man this is nice. I got this in A1 used condition at a great price. BIG difference from my GTA 1000. It came with batteries ,manual ,video tape , garrett headphones ,12.5 and 4.5 scorcher coils ,2 coil covers ,stock 9.5 coil ,garrett plastic digger and a basic bag to carry it in. Bad weather is moving in this weekend so i will have to wait for nicer weather in a week. Meantime i will be reading the manual real good and watching the tape. Since reading the forum this year i know there are some great tips on here for using this 2500. You guys and gals have helped me a lot on using the 1000 and about detecting in general. Bob, Let the fun begin!!! You thought your 1000 was a hoot wait till ya get to swing that 2500 <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> Your gonna love it and wish you had one along time ago. But there lies the problem.....THE WAIT!! Your gonna be like a little kid at christmas time waiting for the bad weather to go away lol. Have fun with your new 2500 and dont forget to post the pics of your finds. We'd love to see them.

Got an idea that would allow you to cheat the weather. Huntress, my partner has a GTAX550 and gets a ziploc baggy, covers the control housing and tapes the edges closed around the bottom. When the insurmountable Jones overtakes you there you go.
 
I have done the baggie trick before i bought a rain and dust cover. It works well.
