i just got a great looking eldorado umax from hombre never had one cant wait to do some relic hunting with this machine thanks hal

Hi Hal,

I'm glad you like her, I think that the 7" concentric I sent with it will surprize you on what it can do, goes deep for the size, and separates the trash well. With the 7" coil, if tuned properly, you can go further into the max boost zone (red zone) and do as well on depth as the 8X9 coil. Good luck my friend and happy hunting:tesoro:

That is good news, makes a big difference doing business with people you can trust like Hombre, thumbs up!

The Eldorado

Does the eldo supertune?.I have noticed only certain tesoro detectors supertune with good results, while some will actually have more of a negative effect supertuning.I had a eldo in 01,and if i can remember it did supertune pretty good.My hunting partner has it now.It is a great detector.

Grubber, do you mean super tuned as in turning up the threshold? I've tried that technique on all the Tesoros I've had, just never worked for me, as far as tuning a Tesoro, I just go for a smooth unwaivering threshold when ground balancing. I run my threshold at a barely perceptable hhhhhhuuuuummmm and then get a 'spot on ' ground balance, then I up the sensitivity till it gets unstable then back it off some. Ya want to hear those deeeep, small, soft, mellow signals that pinpoint small, those are the ones to go after.

Yes hombre, turning the threshold to max in disc(supertuned)for added depth performance.I know the outlaw and golden, supertunning has a negative effect, but on the Vaquero i can get 2 more inches. Some tesoros do good supertuned, while others do not do good.If the eldo can do it,it would be something to consider if trying for a deep coin or relic in some locations.
