went out today found a few clad pennies had a good time getting ready to upgrade from a bh QD2 to a pioneer 505 any thoughts?

GET A OLDER DETECTOR THAT HAS AN ANALOG COIN METER NOT DIGITAL
GO TO A PARK USED 7 DAYS A WEEK AND SEE MORE THAN A FEW PENNIES

The P505 is very similar to the QD2, not enough of an upgrade to be worth the bother, in my opinion.

More sensible upgrade choices would be BH Platinum; or a Teknetics Delta, Gamma, Omega, or G2. You might also take a look at the Fisher F4, F5, Gold Bug, and Gold Bug Pro. All these were designed by the same engineers and are made in the same factory.

NO NOT MORE SENSITIVE OR DEEPER
METER SMOOTHER NOT AS JUMPY
INFINITE PLACES A NEEDLE CAN GO
DIGITAL MAY HAVE ONLY 10 OR 20 MARKINGS
IF THE RIGHT ANALOG METER CAN DEFINE A PENNY VS NICKEL OR BETTER
TRIED MANY DIGITAL MACHINES ALWAYS RETURNED TO ANALOG
