upgrading to an x-terra 30

Hi,
i will soon be upgrading to a "minelab x-terra 30", from a "tesoro sidewinder micromax", but i do plan to keep my "sidewinder", as it is a very nice quick turn-on and go machine. i got it at a pawn shop for $55. it needed a little repair work on the arm rest; and too if a friend wants to go md'ing with me, i will let them use the "sidewinder".
does any one here know any helpfull tips,& tricks to use with the X-terra 30. thank you very much for any information you can pass my way.

thank you for the help. looked and found the FAQFAQ on the x-terra 30, and x-terra 50. i made printouts of them. my new "x-terra will be arriving next week.
