Upgrade, a piece of cake

I just did mine and all you have to do is start XChange 2 and click on the yellow ! at the top of the page and follow the instructions. When the XChange is done with it's download, plug your CTX in and and turn it on and again, click on the yellow ! and follow the instructions................ done.

Minelab could not have made it easier...

the longest part was downloading it, the rest went just fine.. Now to get out and start using it again.. if the rain ever stops. no rain all summer and now it won't stop... but Minelab rules!!

Did mine yesterday. Did the download twice cause it didn't look like it took based on the version number when I did the first restart. When I restarted exchange 2 the second time I got an uninstall message -executed that then and had to navigate through a few screens but eventually it loaded OK. I then did the firmware update to the CTX which went smoother. I'm loving the pinpoint lock feature.

Just picked up a ctx the other day, are they pre-upgraded (being i just bought it)? Or do I need to upgrade?

You should ask the dealer or person you bought it from if the update was done or not potsy.

Agreed! VERY easy to use! The new salt water feature looks like a WINNER for beach guys!
