Most of you remember praying for baby Jessica, and also Beth that had meningitis. Here is an update on both! Keep on praying!
Thank you so much for praying for my college friend and her husband. Beth is home from the hospital now. The doctors believe that she had both the viral and the bacterial meningitis. She had been to the doctors twice, but no spinal tap was done until she entered the hospital. By the time she went to the emergency room, she could no longer walk. Beth was very sick, but now she is hoping to return to teaching sometime next week. She wanted me to express to you her thankfulness for your prayers. I know how much her husband appreciated it too. Rod and I talked with him almost every day. He was so surprised that our friends prayed for her even though you do not know them personally. But, we are so happy he reached out. We see the work that God has begun in him.
For our Jessica, we continue to wait for results. We found out on Monday that she has moderate hearing loss in her left ear. But, the upside is that there is no damage to her nerve. This means the doctors can help her. So-- we'll have more appointments. The genetist doctor has an appointment scheduled for her on June 27. But, the pediatrician is not happy that she has to wait so long. The doctor wants them to move the appointment up to an earlier date.
