Well I went back armed with the 10.5, wish I had a video cam with me just one after another. SETTING: 10.5 coil, Primary NORM.DISC. 2, Secondary: Iron DISC. 9, SEN. 10 for threshold sound, VOL 10 , Sweep speed : Slow , average coin depth 8 to 9.5 inches, 14K gold ring was at 6"s, silver bracelet was about 11"s very heavy bracelet, again these areas I have hunted over and over with the F75, and these areas are where the rafts were the concrete anchors and chains are still there, seem BEEP & DIG is the way to go. Also NO chatter or clicks with the 1270 and the 10.5 coil, it was smooth sailing. Going back tomorrow. No coin newer then 1957.

You won't believe this but when you was talking about going back with the 10.5", I was thinking silver quarters would start coming up. My guess is the F75 will see some closet time.

Great hunt,

Ron

theres more areas I really haven't covered because of the big trash items and beer cans and stuff like that.So I think I'll go back and start cleaning it out. and there's 2 diving board areas I couldn't because of the deep silt build up, with the little heat wave here it's starting to dry up.Funny thing about this lake you have about 8"s of hard silt buid up, like a clay matter, but after you get past that there's a 2" layer of Black dirt and it looks as if it was once grass and that's the spots most of the old coins and stuff are coming up from, have to research it a little more.

I don't have a 1270.. I do have a 1266 with 10.5 coil... I prefer it over my F75... deep and quite.. the F75 is chatty
