Update on the prayer concerning the sale of my home.....(LONG)

I'm still waiting for a RE man to give me his price, if he buys the house outright, but I let the lady realtor, who gave me her price, know that I wasn't ready as yet. The Lord showed me I needed to get rid of a lot of STUFF (sort, sell, give or throw-away) before I can feel free to move easily! So, I asked if she might be interested later and she said yes and she also would like to buy some of my furniture (the antiques) but I won't let them go unless I know their value first, as I could use the money as well as anyone else!

I have peace about the whole thing and I'm going to try to do some more repairs and cleaning up before I finally sell....if I do!! I'll see how the money situation goes and what houses in my neighborhood will be selling at later on in the year or next Spring! One house which has not been updated at all and in the cul-de-sac around the corner from me is up for sale with Gundaker for $182,500 and it's just like mine but next to the school playground with a privacy fence between. The back yard is larger than mine though with trees and shrubs!

The older lady went into the nursing home and her kids are trying to sell the home as is! It was shown on Channel 4 TV this morning with all the other homes they had listed for sale....new and used!

My house is exactly the same style and also has hardwood floors except for the Family Room, Kitchen and Hallway! I have marble window sills and concrete sills outside on an all brick home! (built in 196

Looks really good now with the new roof, gutters, windows (which everyone who sees them likes and my house looks nice they say)and etc. Needs a lot of cleaning now...but will eventually get to the inside when I'm finished on the outside! So, I'm not letting it go unless I get most of my money back that I've put into it!

I have a free account with a place called Melissa Data. One of the things available is a weekly listing of houses that sell in your area. Just set up a free account. Log in then go to the place that says you can get a weekly listing of houses that have sold in your area, add the zip code and wait for the emails to come. This way you know what houses on what streets in your city (zipcode) have sold - what street and how much.

This way you have a clearer view of your own property value.

Melissia Data is a company that is really there to help businesses gather information useful to the businesses. There are other free search engines you can go to as well - reverse phone number look up - and lots of other stuff.

Check it out. I am subscribed (free account) to a couple of their services and some are useful to detecting as well.

right now...which God has given me confirmation on....I have to sort through all the many years of junk, treasure or whatever you want to call it that I've collected and be ready to sell and move when the time is right.

I've procrastinated, along with being ill and also going detecting when I should have been taking care of other things! It's been hard paying bills and living on a low income but God is with me and has been and will be, as long as I lean on and trust in Jesus! I'm thankful for the home I have and glad I'm not homeless or penniless! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus!

been in this area and my home since 1974, so very difficult to get things together and then moving....But may God's will be done in my life...whatever that may be for my good and for His purpose, glory and praise! Takes a lot to get this ole gal to move in more ways than one!
