Update on the little car......

My brother, Larry, checked it out today! He tightened some hose clamps and said the main seal was leaking so can't fix that without pulling the engine which he doesn't want to do, so will just have to put up with the oil leak just like I do with the Mercury!

He couldn't find anything wrong with the brakes when checking them out and thinks the Master Cylinder is okay but I will just have to watch them and see if they go to the floor before stopping car again! He has worked on cars many years and on Toyotas a lot, as his 3 children, him and his wife all have one and now mine. They have six Toyotas and he works at Dobbs and they call him the Toyota man!! :D

Hopefully all will work out with it....I put exactly 312 miles on it driving to my sister's house and a few side trips, and home again!

Nice running little car but kinda rough riding on the bumpy and rough roads! But not complaining for I am blessed to have a car that I can use! :)

God Bless!

you wont have to ever change the oil for it will leak and you will replace it on a regular basis :) Steve in so az

Not knowing what your car is, I'll let you know about my toyoata truck. It's a 94 with a 22RE motor. It also leaks a little oil but nothing to worry about with regular checking. My brakes gave me trouble and I did find that the master cylinder is "leaking by." If I hold full pressure on the pedal while stopped, the pedal goes slowly to the floor. I had a pinhole in a brake line and bad calipers. After changing them, it works a lot better. It has 159,000 miles on it so it doesn't owe me anything!

I pray that the car will work out fine for you .....

I couldn't ask for any more than that unless he was rich and would buy me a new one.......which will not happen......he's in debt the same as I am, but God takes care of us! I'll just have to watch the brakes and the oil leak and try to not have any trouble while out traveling.
The little car has between 140,000 and 141,000 miles on it!

God Bless!
Betty
