Update on the excal coil repair effort......

I'm applying multiple layers of epoxy to the coil joints and top surface.
preliminary power ups and ring tests are showing a good return to the threshhold stability of old.
hopefully, I had only a crack to be concerned with, and not actual corrosion or damage that is concealed. I'll have it done and ready for hunting in the next couple of days.
 
Glad to hear it may have some life left in it. Even if it does look a little like FRANKENSTEIN! Are you going to have to wait for a storm and zap it with lightning to spark it back to life? :lol:
