Update on Brian

I know we are welcome to post our prayer requests here but sometimes I feel like we are wearing out our welcome. It seems like very little positive news comes from my posts and I can't help but feel like we are burden to all of you fine folks on this forum. Oh, how I wish I was posting finds from an outing with Brian, but it doesn't look like that will happen again. So, I get my MD'ing thrill by seeing what all of you are finding. And, I enjoy it.

Brian has been in a lot of pain with this fracture. He told me tonight that he thinks he may have damaged the rods in his tibia because the pain runs the length of the bone. I just gave him his last round of pain meds and he is sleeping peacefully for now.

In the morning, we go to Children's Hospital for a 3D c-scan of his face and skull. He has to lay flat for the scan and he has a hard time laying flat because the tumors in his throat cut off his airway making him feel like he is suffocating. He can still breathe through his trach but he panics because of the way it feels. Please pray we can get the scan done.

Wednesday, we go to the orthopedist for more x-rays and hopefully just a cast. If the rods are bent he will have to have surgery to have them replaced.

April 6th is our appointment with the plastic surgeon to schedule tumor reduction surgery.

There are a lot of new people on the forum and I apologise for not welcoming each one of you personally but lately I don't have much computer time. And, I can't type!! So...WELCOME!! And thank you for taking the time to pray for Brian and our family.

I need to get off of here and hit the sack.

Thanks and God bless!!

Doug

Oh, Doug, your posts and information about Brian and all he and your family are going through is not a bother nor are you wearing out your welcome! You all are loved too much and don't ever think we aren't here for you! I know you are getting down physically and spiritually and I understand why! The worry of Brian's health and the constant going and lack of sleep would make anyone tired and unsure of anything! I get aggraved with this Computer and not able to remember things or think many times, when I used to be able to do most anything I wanted to do and the finances to do it with, for we can do all things through Jesus Christ Whose joy is our strength!

Remember, Brian, you and your family are an inspiration for each of us and all who have met and know you! Brian is in their care and in Jesus' loving care! Be assured He love and cares for you! I truly understand that Brian's pain has to be so unbearable at times that he wishes and wants to go be with Jesus and have the pain and suffering end, but he will not leave this world until God is ready for Him to be with Him and HIs plan for Him to be an inspiration to others and a loving son to your family and loved ones! Don't give up, Doug, and I know you would like to be detecting with him rather than homebound taking care of your son, but God's plans maybe different than ours and His plans rule in His own time and His own way! Just enjoy Brian as long as he is here with you and Carol and other family members and continue rolling with the trying trials like you have been and know that it is all for God and we don't know why, but He does and someday, we too, will know! Brian is pecious to God, to all of you and to us on this Forum, so keep looking up, keep in prayer and when you cannot pray, we are here for you, and give God the glory and praise in all things, for you have had Brian far longer than other parents have had their ailing children! I know this doesn't help, for you want your son well and happy in this life, but he will have a new life far better with Jesus, than anyone on earth can have here in our mortal bodies, for these are frail and fail us in many ways!

I love you and your family, Doug, and I will pray for the Lord to lift you all up out of your tirednesses and give you joy unspeakable in knowing you and Carol will be with Brian in heaven someday, where he will be perfect in Jesus in every way! (Just keep the faith, for faith is the our hope in Christ and the evidence of things not seen! )My version!! Jesus called them as if they already were and Brian's healing is already done whether on Earth or in Heaven! God Bless!

that is satan wanting you to stop asking for prayer. Never give in to that scum. You are ALWAYS welcome and NEVER a burden to us. That's satan trying to take away your faith and fill you with doubt. We are now and always will be here in spirit and in prayer for you all no matter what the circumstances - good or bad. We love you all. God bless you all and strengthen you all, in the name of Jesus, King of kings and Lord of lords, Alpha and Omega, the Living Word. Amen

Thank you Betty!!

Wow...don't worry, I'll never give up or forget what we are fighting for. Our will is to use this to glorify God in whatever way we can. Thank you for such an encouraging and uplifting response. You are truly a blessing to our family.

Oh...and it does help! Thank you.

Doug

Thank you Pete!!

I appreciate your forwarding my Carepage posts to our brothers and sisters in Christ on this forum. With all the burdens we all have on us, I guess I felt like I don't need to pile mine on top of those that others are already carrying. But, maybe you are right, maybe Satan is trying to fill me with doubt. As they say down here in the south..."It ain't never gonna happen!!"

Especially with all of the prayer warriors we have fighting this battle with us!!

Thanks brother,

Doug

It is always a priveledge to go before the Lord on your families behalf.
So please always feel free to share with us so we can lift Brian and your family up.
I have been blessed many times over the years from him and the family.

Thank you and God bless.

Mike

Though "it ain;t gonna happen" is a down south saying (or is it satan convincing people to lose hope) the Word says All things ARE POSSIBLE - With GOD.

So guess it is a matter of choosing which to believe. If there were more believing God there would be fewer people saying the other.

Always glad to help Doug. Sometimes I feel I am a bit slow to get the word out to our prayer warriors but always glad to let them know so they can start praying for the situation and all involved.

God bless ya Brother and all your family too

Yall are not a burden. We are all brothers and sisters in CHRIST.

Amen and amen

Pete, I believe Doug was saying satan was never going to win and steal his faith away....when he said, "It aint never goinna happen" that is just an old saying, when someone wants to let the other know something about what is going on, that it ain't gonna happen! If I'm wrong Doug can say so! Satan is tempting him to be discouraged and like he says, It aint gonna happen, with our prayers going up to God constantly for him and his family! He has come too far with Jesus, to turn back now! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus! Amen! Betty

And Doug you and the family are always welcome to ask for prayers and you are welcome concerning my posts! Ya, just about broke my heart when I read your post, but I knew you were just tired and needed some sleep and lots of rest! Jesus loves you and we do too! God Bless! Bety
