Update on 6 inch coil.

I have not added the update to my 800. I read somewhere it ruins the use of the six inch coil. Any pro or cons on the update?

Never bothered my 6 inch coil , I hunt with it for gold and in tot lots to get close to equipment and fences.

Just another vote for update- HOWEVER My initial update was not to my liking so I reversed it. Later learned to FR before update and redid it. Was very happy with it now. So it seems valid advice to do a reset before doing the update. At least it worked for me!
