...the good news, Brian may be able to wait a couple of months before having the surgery.
The not so good news...his surgeon quit accepting insurance period. He only works on a cash basis. Now that he is doing more cosmetic surgery his patients have the green to pay up front. Our insurnace will pay out of network but only 60%. Now we have to decide wheather to look for a new plastic surgeon or figure out a way to pay the difference. We don't want to change horses in mid-stream but may be forced to do so. Our other options are the Shriners who can perform the surgery in Lexington, KY or going to Bethesda to have it done. Another option is going to Vanderbilt. A couple of years ago we drove to Nashville and had a plastic surgeon there look at him. At least we have a couple of months to find an answer. Our first option will be to try and find a good surgeon locally.
The great news is that Brian, and us as a family, barring any broken bones, will have a great Christmas virtually pain free. And that is all I want for Christmas!!
God bless!!
