The other day I was hunting a school property and got a nice soft signal in 4KHz that ID'd at 93-96.
I switched to 8KHz and it trended upward from 95-98. That indicated a high conductor target so I dug.
After 6 inches I hit a clay layer that was about 2-3 inches. Once I broke through, I was close to the target.
When I flipped the dirt up at near 12" I saw what looked like the edge of a large copper washer.
Figures I thought to myself....until I brushed some of the dirt off and discovered this huge token.
The dime (found later), is used for comparison.
The Token (2.5" dia. and 3/16" thick) is a 1930 Crane Co.
Fairly common I guess and doesn't command any significant value, but it is a cool find so I wanted to share it.
