Unusual Find with CTX Today...

Was out to day at the same field which has been very good to me the last two hunts. It was really hot and I had been at it for 6 hours with nothing to show but clad and trash. LOL! I thought I would take one more target. I got a 12.45 at 9in. I thought that it was deeper than I wanted to dig at that point but I dug it anyway. The target was bigger than a coin and seemed to be down around 12in.

The pics show what it looks like after I unfolded it. It may be the back of an old picture frame. It appears to be silver but I am far from sure of that at this point...

Opinions?...

Very interesting find. Does look like silver and that small ring attached is interesting. I wonder if it is a lid from a snuff box that was on a chain and hung around the neck.

That is a great thought!! Much better than my idea. LOL! Maybe that also explains why it got violently thrown away. Perhaps the mrs. was tired of the hubbie's snuff habit...LOL!

That could happen to my metal detector someday...
