Unusual find with At/Pro

It's been raining quite a bit and everything is under water around here and the river is up several feet. We have been blessed with 13 inches & 4-1/2 tenths of rain since February-7th. Anyway, I've been keeping close to home with a sick Mama and I got so antsy the other day, I got out during a brief break in the rain and found a lot of junk. Different sections of tin foil sounded like coins, but I didn't keep a log of the DVI readings. One find was a brass pipe used for smoking wacky backy. When the county filled in an open well on my property about 18 years ago they brought in several loads of fill dirt and this pipe must have been in that dirt. Here's a photo, then I threw it in the dumpster because in the county where I live they took this mans car because they found a hemp seed in it and I don't want them putting me afoot. I started to put it in a bucket with some brass I'm saving for recycling, but didn't think that was a good idea.
1st photo shows the rain over the drive way and next 3 photos of pipe.

If I remember right it had a clear, high tone in standard coins mode and I think the digital signal was 77-82. I thought I could use a voa tape recorder I had for years to help me keep up with what the DVI was for all these targets and then play it back and keep a log to help me learn the AT/PRO better, but it has set up so long it's froze up or something. If I hadn't thrown the pipe away, I would rescan it to be sure, but that's the way the ball bounces. HH
While I haven't been able to metal detect I did some research on an old swimming area beneath a bridge and another old spot and both of the landowners live out of state. One lives in Florida and one lives in Colorado and I'm sending them a letter asking permission to metal detect on their property. Where the public bridge is belongs to the state but I want their permission to work the stream that runs north/south of the bridge. One of the spots used to be a mill pond and there is one local owner of a section living in my area and I also intend to contact him. People used to use this area for recreation and swimming.
This pond and stream goes thru nearly 800 acres of land and I hope I can get some advice from the landowners about where the most swimming was done, if I get permission in the first place. All I can do is ask and there's a 50-50 yes/no answer either way.

Take the hammer to that item and mangle it senseless and put it in your scrap bucket.

Too late, Joel. It's in the dumpster. I'll know better next time. Wish I had thought of that.
