Ok, i never told them then but we were hunting and i started to mention that i was getting
the strangest falsing signals,but i didn't mention it.
Later i figured out why.
My boot came untied i pulled up my pant leg to re-Lace it,There it was in great big letters on the tongue of my Boot.
LOL,LOL, I Had a buddy of mine tell me he wanted to try a different site because there was to much iron in the area we were at
i said what are you talking about i had found a merc, and a few Wheaties already and that i wasen't having any out of the ordinary falsing issues, then he realized he had his steel toed boots on! we laughed pretty hard! thanks for the story it reminded me of a fun day of hunting with a buddy!!
Detecting with the minelabs gold machine that was a big problem! I started out with a hip ring carrying the pick at the left hip and was constantly getting a falsing on the left side till we figuerded out the machine was picking up the pick. Metal toe shoes were completly out of the ?.
Great funny, Harold. Kinda like leaving the SunRay probe in the 'on' posistion when you're wearing 8" CeeTee pliers in the holster on the right hip. Very embarassing...even when your'e all alone.
I was swinging my SEF 15X12 at the beach this past weekend and it was picking up my scoop if I did not have it directly behind my back and the metal shoelace ringlets in my boots. I was so careful not to pack my boots with the steel toes, that I did not even think about what other metal may be in the boots.
