I found these two items quite a while ago and have never known what they were. Any help would be appreciated. The tag measures approximately 1-1/2" X 1-5/8".
 
Agree with the item on right being a reign guide but pretty sure item on right is a work brass. When I first started working construction we had brass alleys. Come in in the morning and walk through and take your brass off the peg. Timekeeper would then come in and see whose brass was there to see who didn't show up for work.
