unknown 2 place medal

I found an unknown medal last night.

It is about the size of a quarter and is thick with a deep groove around rim ( like a pulley would look similar to 2 quarters with a penny in between them

On the front it says

AMIRAL 94
GAETA
SPRING LEAGUE
2ND PLACE

The letters are pretty plain under jewelers glass

Any Ideas
sorry no pic lettering way to small and fine to show up on cam
 
GAETA is an Italian city but i don't know if "gaeta" in your medal means the city.
