Union Pacific 4250............

For the past year I have been taking pictures along this section of tracks, trying to see how many different numbered locomotives I can take a picture of. I caught this one early afternoon today. Kelley (Texas) :)

make it seem as if the viewer is standing right along the tracks. How many different locomotives have you seen there so far Kelley???

I have pictures of it at San Lucas, California on August 19, 2005, at San Timoteo Canyon, California on November 17, 2011, and at Selkirk, New York on February 8, 2004. This link, http://www.railpictures.net/showphotos.php?road_number=UP%204250 will confirm the sightings.

To answer your question, I have nine good pictures of locomotives taken from this location. Also, I was approximately fifty feet from the tracks when I took this picture.

This site is near a feed store that I visit once or twice a month, and getting a train picture is a hit and miss situation because I do not know the train's schedule. I always take a camera with me when going to the feed store, hoping the train comes by while I am there.

There are many times that I day dream, wishing that I could ride in the cab of one of these trains. Kelley (Texas) :)
