I got out for a few hours late today and got skunked at my first site so I moved on to an old standby. I dug 10 fired minnies in the last half hour. The ones that arent destroyed are all star based. As Arnold said, "I'll be back"

I have been digging a ton of bullets in the past couple months but only one eagle button . Im way overdue for a good button or better. It's comming. I feel it

Marc: were they firing against a hill? If so have you looked for overshots on the other side. That what my pardner and I were doing today. Dave

Dave it appears that they were firing down hill towards the creek. The camp was on the flat ground above and these were found on the downslope towards the bottom. I had dug handfuls of these years ago about 3 hundred yards away and got tired of digging just fired bullets so I quit but there seems to be a whole lot more in this new area so I am digging them again. Who knows maybe some other relics will turn up.

CW finds are scarce here, and I have been very fortunate to find what I have found. What I wouldn't give to hunt an old firing range...Great finds, don't stop digging. Either that, or invite me over for a long weekend, and I'll be glad to clean up some of that lead trash for you!
