While speaking with the lady at Garrett about crud getting into the buttons of my 2500, she suggested that I purchase a cover for it.
So I ordered one. I had just finished doing a phone registraion on my GTI 2500 so she knew exactly which machine I had.
The cover came in ...."description: COVER UP GTI SERIES"
its not even close to a fit <img src="/metal/html/frown.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":("> --- and they are closed until Jan 3rd <img src="/metal/html/cry.gif" border=0 width=40 height=15 alt=":cry">
But I feel certain they will find the right one <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
Or do they make a cover for the GTI 2500 display???
 
I am surprised that got mixed up. Garrett does have a control housing cover for the 2500 ,i need to get one too. Use a plastic bag until you get the right one. It will work good enough now. Have a great Chrismas.
 
Give them another chance. I know they have been sooooo busy during the last couple of weeks with the release of the ACE Series machines. You were probably speaking with Mary. She is truly a fantastic person to deal with. Call her up and she will correct the situation. And the cover is an excellent addition to the machine. It allows you to hunt in the rain and keeps your equipment in good shape. Heck, even santa gets his presents mixed up at this time of year. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
 
Looks like you got a GTI 1500 cover...indeed Mary and Garrett are super to work with am sure after the holidays they can straighten out. Mistakes are made especially during busy times of the year, but Garrett will rectify the mistake...

Hey Roy, Ive been using the 2500 for awhile, and find that the plastic bowl covers with elastic on the edges work great! Try it, simple and cheap.
 
Called Garrett today and Mary P said she would put the correct one in the mail for me, they probably just grabbed the wrong one.
She said she would check it out herself before sending it, and to just give the other one away.
