Unequally yoked...

Pete in MI

New member
Casey has a boy friend. Guess dispite the original lies about his background she finally said that he is not a Christian and doesn't believe others should force their beliefs on others. Casey could do better than yoking herself to this boy but asking for prayers for him (Brian) not only for him to be saved but to get his head on straight - he doesn't do his school work - he doesn't care. Again not a good sign in someone Casey should be unequally yoked to.

Teens think they know it all so ya know Casey isn't listening to our advice - pray for her to get her head on straight to and listen to the voices of experience and if not us then to listen to God.

Appreciate the prayers for them both. BTW Sherry is feeling a little better but still not real good. I hear urinary tract infections are not fun and she is fighting it. Meds and lots of cranberry juice. Hopefully (soon) "this too shall pass". Just one more concern we have as if we didn't have a full plate already but may God get the glory for all these trials we have had to endure.

Good morning Pete,This verse is one of many many, given By our Great and loving God, when a, situation if out of our control, it is very comforting to know God is not only soverign , but full of grace an peace. I will pray for you and your family. jr

Good morning Randy,on the way to church, I realized, ya , forgot the verse,{don't get old} . Psalms 46:10 was addressed to isreal in the midst of her enemys. Be still, the hebrew, idea of slaken or idle, or slow, the hebrew for know has the idea of to fully understand, have confidence in, to be sure. I also thank God for the last part of hebw. 13:5 I will ----never-- leave the nor --forsake-- the. This verse give the believer the truth of eternal security, and aslo the promise of never turning His back in time of trouble. Thank you Lord.

I pray that Brian And Casey do the right thing and things get better for them.

a parent that approved completely of their child's friend ? Not many, hope for the best and pray, Steve in so az

All you can do is love her like your heavenly father loves you. Seems to me, He didn't approve of most of the things we've done (and still do) :)

went with and/or ended up marrying & divorcing someone they shouldn't have ever dated or have gotten pregnant and lived with them. But ya know my marriage didn't work out either although we were married for almost 33 years by the time of the divorce....so really there's no guarantee a marriage will last unless the husband and wife each know and serve Jesus, faithfully.

Casey will most likely not listen to you, for she thinks she knows more than anyone older than her right now, but oh how she will wise up later on, hopefully, when she walks the straight and narrow way of God! I will be praying for them to both be saved in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, but I've been praying for all of mine for years and years and they still live as they choose and not for Jesus either!!! Like Frank Sinatra always sang, "I did it my way!" Wonder where he is now or will be?? I so desire for young people to be saved and not be so foolish...but we live and we learn or should!!

God Bless!
Betty

that sometimes it is better to (pray for) instead of (preaching to).
Certainly you and Sherry still have a say in all this. My prayers are on the way!

so means it has to be a God thing to get them to wake up and smell the coffee so to speak.

but I hope someone is praying for us to get our heads where they belong too. Guess this falls under the 'why complain of the splinter in someone else's eye when I have a log in my own to take care of'.
Mt 7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Thanks Joe for reminding me. Thoug I don't look forward to correction God knows when and where I need it. Appreciate you loving me enough to get me back on the right track. Thanks again Joe.

and they may not be the ones we would make but God gave them the freedom to choose - I just hope their choices will glorify God.

Good morning, Joe and Pete, we see with the prodical son, an example of wrong choices, can we imangine all the prayers by dad , and Joe your right, all dad could do was pray. Your right Pete, its sooo easy to see fault-----in some one else. I will pray.
