Underwater headphones repair question

New member
 Hello water detectorists! I need some advise on how to repair my Aquavision Pro underwater detector. The cord that runs from the headphones to the control box is too short. (Not the searchcoil cord,... but the headphones cord). The company I bought it from sold me one that had been repaired and they made the cord about 36 inches long.:ranting: The average length is about 52 inches (I think). This coil is not coiled, but it is straight. I am a tall guy (over 6 feet tall) and this really makes using this unit very uncomfortable for me. The unit works great and I have found some cool stuff with it (including a very heavy silver ring at 6 inches deep). What or how can I repair this myself? And what kind of waterproof epoxy, filler, or caulk is used in underwater repairs? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, DF.:wiggle:

My suggestion would be to send it in to the factory service dept. and tell them what you want. This way it gets repaird for you correctly.

 Yea thats probably what I am going to do. I really dont know if this company even has a service dept. Guess I will give em a call and find out. Thanks, DF.:look:
